The Conservation Commission is a volunteer board dedicated to protecting and preserving our town’s natural resources. The Commission works to safeguard wetlands, waterways, forests, wildlife habitats, and open spaces while supporting thoughtful growth and responsible development within the community.
In carrying out its responsibilities, the Commission reviews development proposals for potential environmental impacts, administers and enforces applicable local and state environmental regulations, and provides guidance to other town boards on conservation-related matters. The Commission also promotes sustainability initiatives and encourages public awareness and stewardship to help ensure that our natural resources are protected for generations to come.
