The Tree Warden is responsible for the care and maintenance of shade and ornamental trees located within the Town’s right-of-way, ensuring the health, safety, and aesthetic value of the community’s public tree resources. This includes overseeing the inspection, pruning, and general upkeep of trees, as well as coordinating and carrying out the removal of dead, diseased, or hazardous trees that pose a risk to public safety or property.
The Tree Warden also manages the emergency removal of storm-damaged trees, responding promptly to severe weather events to clear roadways, protect infrastructure, and restore safe conditions for residents.
